Backing up your photo library is important. If you’re snapping away and not backing up, you could lose all your captured memories in an instant. It happens more than you probably think!
I’ll be honest…when I started diving into the world of photo organization, I had NO idea what the difference was between backing-up and syncing. And to be even more honest, I wasn’t doing either!
What’s the difference? Backing up gives you an extra copy of your library, whereas syncing communicates between the copies so they are always the same. Syncing is really only one copy of your library.
In learning all things photo storage related, I finally have a handle on what programs are backing up your pictures and which ones are syncing.
It’s important to know the difference, but even more important to make sure you have at least one BACK-UP.
